rural location in North Cornwall, on a quiet single-track country lane, with only
one other near neighbour, surrounded by fields and beautiful Cornish countryside
and yet only 5 minutes drive from the wide sandy beach of Widemouth Bay, between
Bude and Boscastle in North Cornwall.

your family dog is welcome, as long as he/she is house-trained and well-behaved.
The garden area is securely fenced and totally enclosed.
A maximum of two small or medium sized dogs welcome by prior arrangement when booking.

is in a rural location approximately 4 miles from the village of Week
St. Mary and approximately 2 miles from the village of Jacobstow.
In the pretty village of Week St. Mary you will find the Post Office/village store,
where you are able to buy all your day to day essentials. You will also find the
village Church and The Green Inn pub, which serves meals and also bar food. In the
quiet village of Jacobstow you will find the village Church and just a mile further
on from Jacobstow is Wainhouse Corner (on the Atlantic Highway A39) where you will
find a Post Office/store, petrol station and shop, and The Old Wainhouse Inn, a
traditional country pub and restaurant.

accommodation comprises of entrance hall, leading to a large lounge with
window to the front and patio doors opening out onto it’s own private courtyard
garden. The lounge has comfortable seating for relaxing, plus table and chairs for
indoors dining, with television and DVD player (please bring your own disks). There
is a woodburning effect electric fire for those chilly evenings.
Leading off the lounge is the compact Kitchen with breakfast bar and window looking
out to the courtyard garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with a full size electric cooker, microwave and fridge
with a small freezer compartment.
|
Patio doors in the lounge open out to the courtyard garden, which is gravelled,
securely fenced and totally enclosed. The garden has table and chairs if you wish
to dine alfresco and plenty of space for sitting, relaxing and enjoying the country
air. In the courtyard garden is the original Well, which until recent times supplied
all the water for the property.

Also on the ground floor is the shower room and toilet.
Up stairs is the spacious bedroom with a very comfortable king-size bed.

The bedroom has windows to the back and front, with far reaching views of fields
and beautiful Cornish countryside.

The North Cornish Coast offers visitors a variety of things to see and do.
As well as the beautiful country side to explore, there is the coast with an abundance
of sandy beaches, coves and amazing cliff walks.

Widemouth Bay, just south of Bude, is only 5 minutes drive from the Cottage. It
is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with its large wide sandy beach, sand
dunes and cliff walks.
Widemouth Bay South Beach is a ‘dog friendly’ beach all year.

The popular seaside resort of Bude is just a 15 minute drive from the Cottage. Bude
has fine sandy beaches, and sea pool, interesting shops and numerous pubs and restaurants.
Bude Canal with one of the only remaining sea locks left in the country.
Water-sports of all description are available, canoeing, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing,
diving and snorkelling.
Just a short drive from the Cottage you will find Crackington Haven, with its spectacular
beach and cliff walks.
Crackington Haven is Cornwall’s highest coastal point.

Boscastle renowned and attractive National Trust fishing village with its Heritage
Coast Visitor Centre and craft workshops and its cliff-hung harbour entrance, small
quay and walks.
Tintagel with the ruins of Tintagel Castle built in 12th and 13th century, being
the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. King Arthur’s Great Halls and The Old Post
Office.
Bodmin Moor, wild, windswept and awe-inspiring granite moorland overlooked by summits
of Brown Willy (1377ft) Cornwall’s highest point, and Roughtor, with Bronze Age
remains including stone circles and menhirs.
Port Isaac unspoilt fishing village, the famous location for Poldark and more recently
Doc Martin TV series.
Padstow with its interesting shops and fine restaurants is one of the least spoilt
Cornish fishing ports.
The Hartland Peninsula and Clovelly, the famous North Devon coastal village with
its cobbled streets flower-strewn cottages and 14th century harbour are also just
a short drive away.
There is boating and boat trips, fishing and deep-sea fishing, horseriding and ponytrekking,
mountain-biking, cycling, tennis and of course walking in the beautiful Cornish
countryside or along the coastal path.
Golf courses can be found at Bude, Holsworthy and Launceston. The Great houses and
gardens at Lanhydrock and Pencarrow, together with the Eden Project are all just
a drive away

does not permit Smoking anywhere inside the cottage – but please feel free to smoke
in the courtyard garden if you wish.
- Electricity and hot water is included in the price of the cottage. During the winter
months central heating is included.
- Free Wi-Fi
- Bed linen is provided and
bed is made-up ready for your arrival.
- Bath towels and beach towels are
not provided – you should bring your own.

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise agreed to. Lettings commence
at 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and finish at 10.00 am on the day of departure.
